kotone can be Literally Anywhere, but she prefers to stay closer to town unless hanging out with someone else. she's not opposed to exploring; it's just easier to stay close to all of her friends (especially shinji). like everyone, she's currently staying in one of the inns and doesn't mind it at all. she's pretty flexible!

how's their day like?
with the food shortage, she's been helping out in the kitchen a lot, but once the fridges are fixed and the immediate Problems have passed, i'd like for her to start up a sewing club! nothing formal or fancy, but just a place for people to get together and hang out if they want to. she also wouldn't be opposed to hanging out with people if they wanted to try sparring with her, but it isn't really something she'd normally suggest on her own (even if she's very comfortable carrying a naginata around)

she generally likes to stick her nose into everyone's business, #protagproblems, so if there's anything you'd like an energetic teen to pester your character about, hit me up! her favorite activities to do with others are: a) eating with them, b) helping them (in that order)

where do they hang out? The bottom of Lorentia Cave
hobbies: He spends most of his time doing kata, meditating, and reading
how's their day like? Sephiroth is usually somewhere at the bottom of the Lorentia Cave system being watched over by a dragon he is slowly brainwashing. Sometimes he can be seen wandering Aldrip, talking to merchants, and visiting shrines, libraries and temples, trying to learn more about Those Who Were There. Recently, after the return from Rumpitur, he had a very weird interaction with a merchant from abroad who was carrying his mother's decapitated head. As one does.

Sometimes emerges from hibernation to hunt monsters or haul ore in exchange for goods and services in Aldrip. This is rare.

When he first arrived he basically lived at the library. These days when Sephiroth is seen in town it's almost always an astral projection. His physical body rarely leaves his cave outside events.

Or: around town, mostly... he doesn't like crowds much but he may linger around the edges of one if it seems important or interesting. Re: the food shortage he's been up in any local kitchen that will have him and he should probably make a real paying job out of that, but he isn't there yet. When he's not doing that... he's made a few trips back and forth through the spooky woods, if you want to handwave an interaction there. In his myriad off hours he's around town, likely not far from the inn, which is where he is still living.

hobbies: Lurk. Loom. No, his true loves when it comes to hobbies are cooking and looking after cute animals, you may have seen him around doing the former and maybe even been aggressively handed something to eat!! He's been doing a lot of cooking, for obvious reasons!! He is tragically mortified by the ordeal of being known, etc, so if you catch him petting a stray dog or something he might freeze like a deer in headlights. It happens. why did i write this much about two hobbies

how's their day like? For the third time he is doing a lot of Cooking, also if you've been vaguely friendly to him he will Nod Hello to you sometimes. If you made it to friendship tier (godspeed figuring out if this is you) he will sometimes just show up with food and demand you eat it and mind your important food groups. Eat your veggies, etc. This is the primary way he knows how to express his Care.

The inn, the LIBRARY, out in the areas surrounding Aldrip as he does odd jobs and tries to get the lay of the land (he is also making his own maps because he Trusts Nothing), around town, anywhere he can get a good drink. Prior to the food shortage, he was absolutely scouting out all of the best places to eat, as well, because he has high standards with food.
hobbies: Currently working his way through the library's entire catalogue to find out as much as he can about this place, tinkering (tuning his gun, taking apart native technology to see what makes it tick), mapmaking, sniffing around for treasure, looking dashing, Fashion, currently in the running for the most paranoid/suspicious Chosen in town. Also trying to figure out why he's apparently missing some memories, which is not helping with the paranoid bit.
how's their day like? You won't catch him taking a day job, but he spends a lot of his days picking up odd jobs and using them as a way to get a closer look at how the locals do things, on top of the pay. He'd prefer some good old-fashioned piracy, but without his ship, he's currently grounded (and cranky about it). He is including searching for information on aeronautics in this world (or if they even exist) during his deep library research dives. If anyone in town needs anything mechanical fixed, he is Suddenly There. He's all over the place, very easy to run into pretty much anywhere as he's busy being a nosy, cheeky man about town. He can often be found with his BFF + partner-in-crime Fran. He also hangs out with Rin on the regular, she understands his need for fancy shirts and supports his conspiracy theories.

where do they hang out? He's out and about town, currently staying at the inn (sharing a room with Alphen and Law). Not as big on exploration outside of Aldrip as Balthier is, but he is making it his business to get to know the town inside and out, as well as its people.
hobbies: Music! Poetry! Archaeology! Painting, reading, anything at all to do with the arts. Diplomacy! Struggling with very basic life skills. Working on getting to know more about the local flora. Looking pensively in Kisara's direction. Allowing himself to be slowly crushed by the weight of his sins, as well as those of every single Renan that ever lived.
how's their day like? Dohalim's primary focus is ingratiating himself to the locals to put himself in a position to learn more about their ongoing situation + gain some political/diplomatic leverage by keeping himself in good standing. He has been getting to know local business owners and looking into how trade is sustained around these parts, so he's really easy to come across literally anywhere in Aldrip at the moment and will likely be found participating in any activity that might generate some good will. Lately, he has been spending many of his afternoons out in the fields outside town, assisting in encouraging plant growth with the use of his astral artes, which he is adapting to be used with this world's ambient energy. He's also another frequent visitor of the library, because what's better for a history buff than to have a whole new world to learn the history of?

how's their day like?
Wiggled her way into a job pretty early helping at one of the stores. Has declared herself the #1 salesgirl and is more than happy to help people looking to buy things. Especially if it's cute things. Runs quests and errands sometimes too - mild monster hunting and stuff like that.

Otherwise she's fussing over her flowers, poking about, and just generally being Wholesome. She's also like Kotone in that she's got #NosyProtagonistProblems. The grumpier, the more likely she is to poke at them from time to time. See: Squall and Seifer.

Spends some time training with Rin, but also working with Ethlynn on her riding. Probably around Aerith a decent amount too with her flower patch and everything, but also because she just really likes the other woman a lot. where do they hang out? Around the inn, anywhere there's alcohol, occasionally exploring the outskirts of town. He also likes to plant himself in crowded areas and just overhear things, so he can sometimes be spotting lurking at the edges of the market or busy restaurants.
hobbies: Lurking and drinking are are more of a pasttime than a hobby, but they keep him busy. He's also been making idle moves towards getting back into herbalism, so messing around with plants and trying to get more information on the local flora. He tries not to do it publicly, but he might also be found practicing his martial arts in out of the way areas.
how's their day like? Mostly he does a lot of wandering around and trying to take in as much as he can. He reflexively tries to keep a low profile, but he's not exactly trying to hide. With the food shortage, he's doing a fair amount of hunting off in the woods, but he largely keeps to the city otherwise. He and Wen Kexing can probably be pretty frequently be found doing their mating dance fighting whenever they get bored and fidgety. Ethlyn can most typically be found in one of the town's clinics, and she's also found a room in a boarding house nearby so she doesn't have to walk all the way from the inn and back each time. In the evenings she can often be found just sort of looking up at the sky, wondering which one of the stars out there is Jugdral she doesn't have this whole cosmology thing 100% worked out yet

hobbies: Aside from doing her job, she enjoys horseback riding and can be found doing that on the roads and fields in and around town. She can also be found reading instruction manuals for appliances (yes, really) or cookbooks, collecting flowers, avoiding NPC children

how's their day like? Ethlyn keeps busy, busy, busy, so if she's not at the clinic, then she's on some kind of obvious errand--she'll take on odd jobs and while joining a monster-hunting crew isn't something she'd organize herself, she'd definitely join one if asked. She's also keen to keep in practice with her sword, so anyone who wants to spar with her would be a welcome part of her day.

She's also started a horseback-riding emergency healer squad so if you want your character to be a part of that (or require their services) then she is there for that! And also happy to teach people how to ride or do first aid, even if they don't have a sparkly healing staff.

Noel is kind of slumming it right now, he'll spend some time in the inn but not much, kind of living here and there wherever he feels like I guess. It's kind of sad. But he explores a lot, both in town and outside of town, so he's been visiting the caves, going through the woods, poking at the vegetables in the farmlands, etc. Feel free to run into him any time and anywhere tbh!

hobbies:
He's big into hunting, especially monsters and other aggro beasties. And since Noel comes from a time where lots of foods are rare, scarce, unavailable, etc, he...he's gonna get big into trying all the local foods. It's a whole thing. He's also into stupidly asking "what's that?" about basic things that most people should know about but he's never really seen. It's fine.

how's their day like?
Most of Noel's free time is spent either hunting, exploring, or doing odd jobs for folks in town. He trades hunted animals for shelter, food, other things he might need, etc., and because helping people is a whole thing for him back home, he's frequently found running around doing stuff for people like a busybody.

Noel isn't afraid of talking to people, so it's easy to run into him while he's doing any of that. Or, if your character does stuff out in the open (cooking, crafting, etc etc etc) he's probably hung around to watch them do that at some point. He's a curious guy.

He doesn't do a lot of cooking for strangers outside a food shortage situation, but he might be found doing something related to that -- finding ingredients, looking for new recipes, etc. He spends time training and sparring. how's their day like? The Doctor doesn't really...sleep, so as a result he can usually be found at any hour the day! He's likely become a bit of a menace at the inn and has been shuffled to the far end of the hallway. While he doesn't do any of his tinkering in the inn (at least not a lot of it), he does enough of it that it could cause a bit of noise. Otherwise, he's probably taken up teaching at the local school (but you can bet his curriculum is completely bonkers), offering up his skills as a repairman, taking down accounts from the townsfolk about their lives and stories, and being an errand man/general menace.

There, she'll either decide if she wants to borrow a kitchen to cook herself, or she'll take something to go since she's carrying a WHOLE ASS CARDBOARD CUT OUT WITH HER TO THE TAILOR SHOP -- anyway. She then goes to the tailorshop and just makes clothes for most of the day. If friends want to hang out with her, she'll cut her time short and go hang out with them. ... how's their day like? marc is ... not a very social man, however he's very good at involving himself in other people's shit if it seems relevant to his moon knight malarkey. coffee drinking! when he sleeps, it's generally during the day but he can be found out and about during the day — mostly the morning up until about noon, and the early evening onwards. he's not very good at being idle, so it's reasonably easy to come up with a reason/excuse for him to be somewhere, although it may include an odd tangent into something to do with the moon/egyptian gods/being intensely dramatic about everything etc.

where do they hang out? He’s usually doing research at the library, or wandering around town and the outskirts on patrol. Every now and again, he’ll head out to the outskirts of town or to the cave for some training. (Read: devastating nearby rocks or similar fixtures with massive Arts attacks)
He once tried pulling some of the locals aside and created a makeshift training field to help form a local militia. Unfortunately, his drills were too intense for the peaceful folk of Aldrip, and he gave up on them as a lost cause quickly enough. (As it happens, normal humans have trouble keeping up with Kuranta endurance)
hobbies: Reading, tea-blending, endless training regimens

how's their day like?
Generally, Młynar spends his time patrolling around town and trying to find answers about the stranger things that happen in this world. He’d probably spend a good amount of time at the library to try and find some answers too- and if he’s lucky, maybe a way out of here. Given that Młynar is a big believer in the “always be training” lifestyle, he spends a lot of time practicing his sword form and Arts outside of town or at the cave. He is also TERRIBLE at holding back, given that he believes that real training requires people to push themselves past their limits. Those nearby would see blindingly bright flashes of light and witness nearby rocks being melted by the radiant waves.

Młynar is also an avid tea-drinker. When he’s not being an absolute workaholic, he can be seen browsing around to find good places to buy tea from. With enough knowledge of local flora, he might even make his own blends.

I don't imagine there's a lot of region specific street food and since that's a favorite of his he's trying to perfect this one very specific recipe.
I think it would be thematically neat if he picked up needlework to mend clothes but that's a thought I had just now. :thinking:

how's their day like? Due diligence! Taking a good inventory of the place (locals and Chosen included) takes a while to do right. One of the many jobless but you know what I like the idea of him getting one that's totally unassuming, for funsies.
