where do they hang out? Catch the Doctor around town at the library, the inn, the coffee shop or the smithy. When he isn't in town (there are stretches of several days), he'll be exploring the wider areas surrounding Aldrip. He tends to poke his nose into anything and everything, so there's a blanket statement here about how if you want him somewhere, there's probably a way we can get him there.

hobbies: Inventing, lecturing, deep thinking, reading time & space, (electric) guitar, eating

how's their day like? The Doctor doesn't really...sleep, so as a result he can usually be found at any hour the day! He's likely become a bit of a menace at the inn and has been shuffled to the far end of the hallway. While he doesn't do any of his tinkering in the inn (at least not a lot of it), he does enough of it that it could cause a bit of noise. Otherwise, he's probably taken up teaching at the local school (but you can bet his curriculum is completely bonkers), offering up his skills as a repairman, taking down accounts from the townsfolk about their lives and stories, and being an errand man/general menace.

SO I was extremely delighted by the doctor slapping numbers on people in the event and wanted to tag in but it was like. this last monday that i finally properly looked. So I got nervous and didn't! but even before people (even if npcs) started disappearing it's been nettling Nanami how the "Chosen" don't even seem to have much order...headcount...rosterdatabase whatever

so something something forest would you humor me and provide an example of his bonkers curriculum

is it time for a census? would Nanami like to join the Doctor in a very unofficial census that has very little relevant/useful information? (also I'm more than happy to do a little backdated thing if that's still of interest to you but also no expectation or pressure whatsoever!)

re: curriculum, most of which I feel like are probably just one off weird classes: Edible Moss (Spoilers: All of it is), Worm Holes and the Ambulance that Could, Fancy Arithmetic, "Dude" and the Uses of it Throughout Time and Space, The Science of (Space)Dust

it is!!! time for a census!! "like" is probably not the strictly technically correct word from Nanami's perspective, but it 10000% is for me. and tbh he wouldn't be expecting much... i had some dumbass network post on the subject ready to go but it was the day before the event so sat on it, but low expectations was. a theme. (and!! ok i may definitely take you up on it, now having permission a whole ass 2+ week late...)

We could always handwave them bitching about the lack of information about the population and they can band together to figure it out/include questions to include the player characters too? (I feel you tho sometimes it's just one of those months but yes you have full permission and I encourage it!!)

For selfish purposes he'll need that info for school things too since apparently it's all home schooling sjsbsh

Teaching the local NPC kids and/or also trying to teach the miscellaneous Chosen... i mean knowledge is power and not only is edible moss extremely relevant to Aldrip's recent travails, but there's some (no) argument to be made that "Dude" and the Uses of it Throughout Time and Space could inform someone's defense!
