We could always handwave them bitching about the lack of information about the population and they can band together to figure it out/include questions to include the player characters too? (I feel you tho sometimes it's just one of those months but yes you have full permission and I encourage it!!)

Totally happy to handwave that! Which may become handwaving over actual content when I trip late into a tag-in imminently...soonish... eveningish (true andalso one of those months or one of those years (already???) or one of those lifetimes, but thank you!!)
