That's your business, then. I tend not to make a habit of asking after people's state of dress when sleeping, but I imagine you are far from the only one.
[He did have to disrobe a little bit that time, didn't he? Leaving only some of it to her imagination...
Themis is suddenly grateful she can't see his face.]
Yes, I suppose you did. I slept rather soundly that night, but that is not always the case. I just happened to be fortunate in that particular instance.
[It's wrong of him to wonder if it was in part due to the warmth of others at her side, a thought that lasts only for a few moments, but that makes him feel guilty for thinking it all the same.]
I suppose living the way you do would condition one to be a light sleeper. I am told I don't do it often enough, and I've worked through the night many times... but it hasn't had any ill effects.
We need rest and nourishment all the same, even if not as frequently. Sleep is still rest for the mind that cannot well be replaced by anything else -- believe me, more than a few scholars have tried in the past.
[And probably a few Sharlayan ones have, too, for that matter. Ah, they do take after their predecessors sometimes... for better or for worse.]

Is sleep as necessary for you as it is for us? I mean, I know you don't have to eat as often.
