Can I shorten us the litany by just saying that I never married a human or had a family with one? I also never sold or sexually assaulted one without their consent.

I've probably done everything else at one point or another by now.

Hm, I guess I have a good enough work relationship with them? We don't interact much, but their school Principal has invited me out for drinks before. We're mostly talking about work stuff, though.

I also don't discriminate to against any foreign youkai, monster or demon who wants to come live with us, as long as they keep to the rules.

Demons aren't known for abiding rules. That's against their very nature.

That could be true. However, I doubt that any peace among the demons will last long. They will attack their own kin when it benefits them.

All I can tell you is what experiences I've made with them on my own -- and I guess that Makoto-kun IS a doppelgänger rather than your classic demon. The only one I know like that is Mr. Satan.

Not a single person on my world would look at me and go 'yep, that's definitely a human!' I doubt it'd happen on a whole lot of other worlds, either.

But you identified yourself as a "human" back when I asked you about it. So what if you're a "human with powers"? Do you think that you're the first one like that who I've met?

What I mean is a literal 'it changed everything thing about me.' You can take any part of me, and it won't test as human anymore. Neither my blood, my flesh, my scent, my DNA nor my soul still count as human. That's the whole point of the gods creating youkai.

You want to know what's gotten into me? When you started complaining about how often humans beg youkai for help, it just made me think of all the times you bailed me out of trouble.

Have you ever assumed that I have to use my powers for you, just because you know about them? No? Then this obviously wasn't about you. My whole point back then was that youkai are neither servants, gods nor tools for you to use. And if you forget about that you'll only get what's coming for you.
