What I mean is a literal 'it changed everything thing about me.' You can take any part of me, and it won't test as human anymore. Neither my blood, my flesh, my scent, my DNA nor my soul still count as human. That's the whole point of the gods creating youkai.

You want to know what's gotten into me? When you started complaining about how often humans beg youkai for help, it just made me think of all the times you bailed me out of trouble.

Have you ever assumed that I have to use my powers for you, just because you know about them? No? Then this obviously wasn't about you. My whole point back then was that youkai are neither servants, gods nor tools for you to use. And if you forget about that you'll only get what's coming for you.

No, I don't expect it of you! The same way I don't expect you to run off and fight monsters single-handedly. All the heroics is literally my job! But there's still a difference between that and deciding that you get to ignore what's happening in the city we all live in.

The only reason I'm putting up with this place is because I want to get back home as soon as possible! Why should I care what happens to anybody else if you forsaken fools have already made yourself so at home here that you're forgetting what counts!?

If we don't try to fight against what the simulation throws at us, people are going to get hurt. And yes, I care about that! All we can do is endure what's happening to us until we have another chance to get out of here! And believe me, hiding away from it all won't make you any safer from what the simulation decides to pull on you.

You don't want anybody to get hurt!? Go tell that to all the ones who just up and vanish forever day by day! Go tell that to the ones who might end up losing their livelihoods or worse while I'm not around to guarantee them! I never once claimed to be a good guy, but when I've taken on a responsibility I'm going to do my damn best and WORST to KEEP IT!!

[He is tempted to say a lot of things, but in the end rationality wins. There's no point lecturing somebody who doesn't want to listen, and this old spiel is really only pissing Douman off. (This isn't the first time he's having this argument, and it won't be the last as long as he lets himself get involved with 'normal' humans. It's both frustrating and lowkey hurting.)

This is exactly why he had tried to push the mutant away more gently a while ago. So he just lets his body flow apart into dark mist, slinking away in a split-second while Morph's attention isn't 100% on the youkai.]
