When Genosha was under attack by sentinels, Gambit sacrificed himself to put a stop to the massacre. If he hadn't, so many more of us would have died that night. I would have died.

[ she gives herself a moment before pushing forward. ]

Hey now, ain't need to apologize, Sugah. What's important now is to not dwell, look on into the future, and try to better ourselves every day. And use our powers to help those who might need it.

I know the folks here might think ugly of me, and I don't blame 'em. It's my lil' red wagon to pull, and not anybody else's. Maybe some day, I'll gain their trust, or maybe that day won't ever shine on me. It's their choice to make, and I stand by whatever choice they choose regardin' how they feel and think of me.
