I have a fox-related question, if that's okay?

Of course.

[ ..... ]
I don't know how to breach this, so I'll just be frank: What's it with you fox youkai and pants?
no subject
I'm sorry... Would you care to explain what it is, exactly, you're asking?

Since I've arrived here, I've had various fox demons openly roll around on my bed, get overly physical with me or plain out repeatedly made off with my pants. And I'm just. Why my pants?

Apologies- I'm afraid I can not offer much help with that. I have certainly never stolen anyone's pants. You may need to ask the particular yokai involved in the theft.
However, I can say that I reserve my own affection for friends. Perhaps the fox getting physical merely felt a certain kinship to you and had no other means to express it.

At least not while sober. He's got plenty to say about everything whenever he's drunk, apparently.]]I would, but Seimei clearly isn't interested in talking to me. As for the other - the less said about that one, the better. The way I see it you're the only reasonable fox that can be talked with. [Which is why Kurama now has to suffer through this.
Douman hesitates before squinting at him.]
You know, you look kind of familiar. But I can't remember the first time I've met you for the life of me.
[Glitch memories are a slippery thing. Especially when they toss you back for a whole millenia.]

I'm afraid if your fox isn't open to discussion that will make understanding motives much more difficult. Unfortunately, I can not speak for others, but it does seem that trouble communicating might explain that physical proximity you mention.
[That's just supporting his theory, sorry. As for the followup?]
Perhaps, several months ago... I had replied to a post on the network. One of the- unreasonable foxes here seemed to have caused quite a bit of property damage.

Giving Kurama a grave look, he states in all seriousness he can muster.]
I'm way too damn old for either of those kids.
[Then he belatedly gathers himself and shakes his head to signal that they have officially moved on to their other topic now. Please.]
Ah, yeah... That incident. I fear I reverted to my still-human self back then and had some- Actually, can we just forget about it and pretend that it never happened?
no subject
[He seems to have effectively put a stop to both topics at hand though, so that leaves Kurama without much more to say.]
Were there any other questions I might be able to answer for you?
[Not that he did a very good job of answering the first one.]

[Douman considers for a moment, going through the things he could or could not ask.]
Only one thing. What do you think of this place?
no subject
[He's putting some pieces together with context, but he wants to be sure.]
Strange how this place seems to attract those with similar stories, isn't it?
I'm afraid I am not sure what to think of it. I can only theorize our imprisonment is one of the mind, if that's what you're referring to. From what information I've gathered since arriving, I do not believe our true selves are necessarily here.
