Why do you bother to take human form? Isn't your dragon form superior in every way?

Of course it is.

But how exactly am I meant to survive as a dragon? It's not as though homes and living spaces are designed for giant beasts. It is a matter of survival.

There are the caves, and I expect you could force people to build you the necessary living arrangements that would suit such a form.

Do humans make you curious?

That is a great deal of work with little payoff, even if it did succeed. I don't see the point when I have another form to use.

You have a place to live that fits your superior form. How is that little pay off?

Well, you take human form, speak our language, use some of our mannerisms. Those have to be learned. Does it inspire curiosity in us?

I rather live without discomfort. Even food and security would be difficult.

What makes you think you did not learn it from dragons first? We existed long before humans.

If we did, you wouldn't be imitating us but the other way around I expect.

I said discomfort, not pain. Eating ice-cream as a dragon is annoying.

Dragons imparted a great deal on humans. It's why we are worshipped. Having a human form has nothing to do with humans themselves. It is simply a part of us.

Not here. But on plenty of worlds, certainly.

No. The worship and adulation of humans doesn't mean anything to me.

Again, it is much easier to feed a human than it is to feed a dragon. I get more out of it this way.
