Different magical girl answering here, but why WOULDN'T I want to wear dresses? So long as it's not too long a skirt, my legs are free for movement plus they're just super cute! And fighting AND looking cute is a win-win in my book.

Well, I don't think it's that we necessarily have to! I actually know a couple of girls who wear shorts or pants? Although it's fair to say most of us do wear skirts or dresses... There's still more variety than you'd think!
