I have no intentions of controlling other Chosen, only preventing them from doing any damage to me or our chances of escape.

My only ambition is to return home.

I suppose I could see why you would think that. However, I have learned a long time ago that the Chosen do not wish to build an army and that their loyalties are fickle as we have no shared goal nor culture to bind us. Camaraderies are build upon shared cause.

One would think stopping these tormentors of ours would be a goal we could all agree on, but you're right, unfortunately. Loyalty takes a long time and considerable effort to achieve, and it can be difficult to even begin building that sort of thing. There's a marked sense of distrust among many of us.

One would think so yes. I merely wish to help bring the Chosen together with my efforts. If that speaks of control or power to you, then so be it.

Hmm. I don't mean that I don't believe your efforts will be worthwhile, or that I'm interested in changing what you're doing. It's a bad habit of mine, trying to learn exactly what makes people tick.

I do, and I'm glad to hear it. I daresay between us we have a decent chance of convincing others to work alongside us as well, hm?

I am always grateful to receive help and support from well established gentleman like yourself. Although, I must admit it is quite rare for someone come to me nowadays, which only makes your proposition all more valuable to me.

You can consider it more of an expression of interest for now, I suppose, as we continue our work with the defense squad. But please feel free to call upon me if you have any need of the post office or the medical sector. Perhaps in the future you might encourage your employees and other allies towards a project or two of mine?
