You think you might've unknowingly watched one? What, do you stay up too late and sleep-watch? You look like too much of an honor student for that.

[He does, and maybe Honor Student Anxiety could explain away some of the attitude radiating off of Akechi in waves; Shinjiro is willing to believe it. It doesn't feel totally correct, but then again, it doesn't feel like it's any of his business. Getting involved with people has ended poorly for him every time now, so maybe cooking should be the limit.

And so maybe this guy is just a fussy honor student. Goro Akechi. There's zero recognition there for that name, of course. He's got infinitely more recognition for this fish and its growing pile of discarded skin.
