Because unbeknownst to Silco, this isn't the first time when someone had urged Richard to leave the God behind and break free of the chains holding him back. Just like he doesn't know that Richard has already accepted it, and made the plans to deceive even the mightiest power that there is. Slither in the paradise like a snake.
