Naoto Shirogane AGE: 16, turns 17 April 27th HEIGHT: 152 cm, may or may not include the platform shoes BUILD: Scrawny HAIR: Blue EYES: Light blue ORIGIN: Japan (though one npc says she's half brit) LANGUAGE: Japanese, English VISION Dresses 'smartly' but tends to wear kinda old fashioned clothes. Like sweater vests and waistcoats. Generally gets her clothes tailored (except her school pants for some reason). Keeps her hair short to stop it getting in the way and to look more masc. Has stud earings and platform shoes too lmao. Pics 1, 2, 3, 4, SOUND Naoto generally uses formal language and rarely swears. She also pitches her voice down, so when she gets mad or yells it can get higher pitched. Clips all languages SCENT She smells partly of coffee, but also of cologne. ETHLYN AGE: 20 HEIGHT: 5'4" BUILD: Slim/athletic HAIR: PINK EYES: also PINK ORIGIN: The Duchy of Chalphy, Kingdom of Grannvale, Continent of Jugdral. Any resemblance to northern medieval Europe and the Big Book of Nordic and Celtic Mythology is purely coincidental. LANGUAGE: Uhhh Jugdrali? I also headcanon that there is an ancient/archaic version of the language that is basically German and that's where the names of the various military corps (and the Arztenritter) comes from. VISION Ethlyn is a fit twenty-year-old woman who is slightly below average modern height and her hair, when it's down, goes halfway down her back, but she usually keeps it clipped up behind her head in a bunch, apart from a couple of shoulder-length locks on either side of her face. Her usual outfit is some kind of dress or long tunic, often in a shade of orange or yellow. Also a fan of cloaks/capes, usually closed by a fancy-looking brooch that was a gift from her late husband. She has that quality to her movements that Sir Terry Pratchett occasionally ascribes to certain members of the nobility: of behaving as though there is no possibility that she will be stopped from doing whatever she's doing. Because she is 1. a duke's daughter 2. princess consort to the heir of a kingdom and 3. a battlefield healer. SOUND Ethlyn gets a voice in FE: Heroes! This is her English and JP voice for ballroom times and normal times. (I love her indignance when the player suggests that she's not The Sensible One and is stupid reckless like her bro.) I like her ENG voice for its maturity and deepness. Usually she speaks in a friendly tone, a little formal but not to the point of being stiff or unapproachable--but she can dial it up if the situation warrants it. She's not super offended by salty language (again: battlefield healer) but doesn't use it herself because it would be improper for someone in her position. Instead she's the kind to go very cold and still when she's angry. SCENT She smells like a combination of at least two out of three things most of the time: disinfectant, mild soap, or horse. NAMEHERE AGE: 20 HEIGHT: 175cm / 5'7" BUILD: A lean, muscular archer's build HAIR: Dark brown EYES: Green ORIGIN: Fodlan and Almyra (not Earth!). Biracial; half white, half middle-eastern (an Ottoman Empire pastiche). LANGUAGE: Fodlan (presumably some sort of germanic language) & Almyran languages (presumably Arabic, Turkish or Persian, if not all three). VISION Claude is a young man with light brown skin, bright green eyes, and thick, bushy brows that he's clearly gotten threaded over the timeskip. He's white-passing, but if you've got a more discerning eye - or pay attention to how he tans during the summer months - you may be able to glean his true heritage. He has thick, naturally wavy hair with pronounced sideburns that he keeps gelled back and tamed to the best of his ability. His build is lean, but more muscular than he initially appears; his experience as a master archer and wyvern rider has given him a strong core, back, and thighs to be able to sustain long hours of riding and warfare. He has one pierced ear, with a single hoop adorning it at all times. Due to his history of violence, he has numerous scars scattered across his body, but he pays them no mind. He's generally clothed in so much fabric that it's hard to tell where his body is underneath it all; using layers of armour and fine materials is his go-to, his hands perpetually gloved, feet always in tall riding boots, and cloaked in ornamentation and finery. He also favours some nods to his heritage in his dress, often seen with a kontush sash adroned by turkish püskül. He dresses down a bit more in Expiation, favouring a simple shirt, jacket, and trousers, but it's clear that he generally likes to stay well covered up. You'll rarely see him unarmed. Even when he doesn't have his trademark bow and sword on him, he'll at least have a dagger on his person at all times. His general demeanor is one that's playful and relaxed and, though he doesn't show it, studiously so. He stands with a casual slouch, often waving his hands in the air as he talks, or hooking them behind his head, rocking back on his heels, and often bending over to get up in other people's personal space. It's the demeanor of the class clown, someone who wouldn't hurt a fly, who's all smiles and jokes and can put most people at ease with a wink. He always looks as though he's flirting with you... but just don't call him out on it. He won't follow through. One thing is clear about his demeanor, though: there's an enormous wall between him and everyone else at all times. That smile really doesn't ever seem to meet his eyes. Japanese voice: Here and here!Bonus: the only time in the series in which Claude snaps (but only in Japanese) Claude's voice tends to be light, cheerful, lilting and airy, with a tendency for his vocabulary choice to be chummy and casual, with a predilection for getting real silly with it. He can switch it off in a blink of an eye, where he reveals how cool, calculating and authoritative he can be, but it's not the sort of thing he tends to lead with. SCENT Claude tends to wear cologne, favouring rich, earthy, musky scents. On days where he doesn't bother, he'll smell of the apothecary he works in - largely tea, herbs, and tobacco - or of the fresh hay in the stables he spends time in. Colonel Sviatoslav Konstantinovich Mel'nikov AKA "Miller" AGE: 62 HEIGHT: A pure guess based on the character models in-game, but I consider him to be about 6' before losing his legs and around 5'10"-5'11" with the prosthetics BUILD: Solid, stocky, lots of upper body strength HAIR: Grey EYES: Blue ORIGIN: He's from Moscow originally, but after the war, most refer to a "home station" in the Metro. Miller's is Polis, the most technologically advanced. LANGUAGE: Russian, knows a tiny bit of English VISION Miller looks his age. He's heavily wrinkled with fully grey hair in a military cut and a receded hairline. He has a short, well-manicured mustache and beard and an old, faded scar across the left side of his face that resembles claw marks. He lost his legs below the knee as a result of an ambush in battle and wears metal prosthetics. Clothing-wise, he's usually pretty heavily layered with armor, fatigues, gun harness, ammo belt, gas mask, etc, but in Expi, he's been looking more casual and foregoing most of the armor. Prior to the event, he was wearing a bracelet Sandry made even after it lost its light magic power. c: SOUND Miller has a pretty gruff and stern voice. In the English versions of the games, he has a super thick Russian accent and tends to withhold a lot of contractions, making him sound extra formal at times. Even when he's not angry, speaking in a very emphatic voice is very common for him, which can come off as shouting. (But you'll know when he's actually angry. It's super obvious.) He does also pepper his vocabulary with curse words on a pretty regular basis but not like every other word or anything. Usually only to really get a feeling across. As I'm sure many of your characters have noticed, he calls the youngins "young man" or "young lady" or "son" a lot. English voice: here Russian voice: here SCENT To be real... most people in the Metro can only afford to shower like once a week. He tried his best but he probably didn't smell like roses when he arrived. The amenities in Expi are a lot better than he's used to, fortunately! He probably smells like aftershave & coffee. VASH AGE: 150 (yeah he's one of those) HEIGHT: 185cm / 6'1" BUILD: lean athletic, 90% legs, is actually packing some big tiddies and muscles under that coat HAIR / EYES: blond hair, blue eyes! ORIGIN: noman's land, somewhere in space (not earth); not human (engineered/modified space alien species) LANGUAGE: some kind of pidgin english mixed with a bunch of other languages ... basically funky future space dialect! i actually love thinking about linguistics a lot so i'll have to cut this short! VISION vash appears to be in his mid-twenties, tall and lanky with his signature oversized red coat and shock of blond hair that looks either constantly windblown or he hasn't brushed it in weeks (months?) and has yellow-orange tinted glasses on about 99% of the time, under which you might see a beauty mark at the corner of his eye. his left arm is a shiny blue-green prosthetic that looks like it's made of glass-metal! apart from his signature red coat, vash will usually be found covered from neck down in turtleneck, pants, gloves, and boots. coming from an endless sweltering desert planet means that he is gonna be pretty strong against the heat and the cold! dwbi about him and his excessive clothes, he's got a lot of ugly scars ... he is usually pretty expressive with his face! lots of expressions and exaggerated gestures are his go-to, so you might get an impression that he's a weird pathetic flaily guy. vash is very open (or so it seems) with all his emotions, so it would be quite easy to tell what he's feeling and thinking. he is always overly friendly and eager to please others and jump at any chance to help people out! basically a stupid friendly golden retriever type. SOUND i know he's voiced by jyb in english LMFAO but i play mine with the japanese va in mind ... this trailer will give you a few different examples of him speaking (low to high to absolutely pathetic). normally while interacting with people he will be quite nice and pleasant, switching between casual to polite depending on the other - as well as his tone. there won't be a lot of instances where he will truly sound serious (unless it's lifethreatening), because that's a side that he tries to not really bring out. SCENT he has no idea how fragrances work / has never used one in his life!!! vash will probably just smell like soap / laundry detergent / whatever dirt he's been crawling on this time. Levi AGE: 18 HEIGHT: no canon height, headcanon shorter side of average BUILD: stick HAIR: Black EYES: dark ORIGIN: Prehevil, Bohemia/Eastern Union (grimdark!earth analogues of Prague, Czechia/probably the USSR) LANGUAGE: also no canon info, Assumidly Bohemian and/or whatever the Eastern Union uses VISION Looks younger than his 18 years, and his frame is generally thin and bony. He's on the shorter side of average height and under weight but not alarmingly so. Caucasian/pale skin, dark hair and eyes. He often has his rifle with him, usually strapped over his back. SOUND Generally speaks softly and sounds unsure of himself. In combat or dangerous situations he flips into soldier mode and has a more confident tone. If he's got any sort of accent it'd be eastern european-esq. SCENT Like a normal person; he doesn't use cologne or have any preference for scented hygiene products. Probably smells of gunpowder regularly. MISC Levi has two modes: meek, quiet and generally timid seeming demeanor that he shows most of the time and & solider mode where he'll carry himself more confidently and remains stoic in the face of just about anything.

Emet-Selch AGE: 12,000+ HEIGHT: 194cm BUILD: Lithe, fit, more upper body strength than lower HAIR: Dark brown with a wing of white EYES: Yellow ORIGIN: Etheirys LANGUAGE: Weenwoon Unknown ancient language presumably based on ancient Greek, and he...probably knows every language that developed in the last twelve thousand years VISION Emet-Selch, while tall compared to most average humans, is actually on the shorter side compared to fellow Garleans. He's often seen with a bit of a slump, as if tired of the world and everything in it. His clothing resembles this more lately since his imperial regalia is inappropriate. The white spot in his forehead is actually a 'third eye'. It grants him a little bit more spatial awareness, so it's a little difficult to surprise him. SOUND He always sounds tired. Voiced cutscenes are available here in both Japanese and English. I actually go with his Japanese voice however. SCENT Emet-Selch would like to know who is smelling him and why. MISC He has a single pearl-like earring in one ear. A strange vanity for him, perhaps.

William G Maryblood | The Faraway Paladin

William G. Maryblood AGE: 17-18 (canon states children to be 1yo when born, so he's 1 year younger than Earth-equivalent people) HEIGHT: Not given (average teenage height??) BUILD: Fit HAIR: Fiery red EYES: Flame orange ORIGIN: Beast Woods, Southmark LANGUAGE: Not English (his native language is never explicitly named), Japanese VISION William stands back straight and tall whenever walking, projecting confidence and surety as befits a knight. He is very open and honest about his feelings as far as expressions go. He's not afraid to cry when overwhelmed with emotion and he's also not afraid to retort with whatever's on his mind if he disagrees with someone. That said, he's not violent. He's never violent. He basically exemplifies the archetype of a paladin. One other thing I've never mentioned since it's never been brought up: his hands actually have healed-over burn marks from his childhood. He usually wears gloves while working though so it's not a common sight. They're quite visible and notable. SOUND Voice clip here. SCENT Smells clean like soap, maybe faintly of candles and candle smoke. MISC He's strong enough to suplex a wyvern in canon.............
