Echo truly wasn't sure if Pride was behind it or not, but if he was, that probably meant he could fend for himself. If it wasn't, she really needed to hold them back so they can make a break for the town.
It wasn't hard to figure out where he had gone from the path of the ones that pursued him. Echo jumps down to a space clear of the wolves, then runs towards the bushes that are being targeted. She leaps again and attacks from above, driving one of her swords into the animals' head. She makes a preemptive swipe of her other blade to try to fend off any of its comrades.
But this seems to have jarred them, and the others in the splinter group cease their attack attempts, if only temporarily. Echo frees her weapon, then finally speaks again. She's not particularly loud, but she still has a bit of force.]
