The man seems to - well, not know what he's talking about, obviously, but Med'an gets the feeling that he's quite intelligent. Maybe some sort of scholar, even, judging by the odd robes? Med'an doesn't consider himself very smart, but he'd like to help. He stands up to better continue their talk, idly dusting the dirt from his knees.
"They didn't say very much," he admits. "And they had markings on them, but I didn't recognize any of them. I don't think the natives know a lot, either - they seemed pretty shocked about it all."
