He's a superhero with a vocabulary that largely consists of cuss-words and quippy insults, so out of all the members of the former Teen Team and now the new Guardians, he'd be the last to speak to a civilian for several legal and publicity-related reasons. Still, after trolling online message-boards and clickbait-y articles, Rex doesn't get the sense that most regular people are grateful for superheroes at all, having never have had to put themselves in that kind of danger in the first place.
It's pretty damn weird- He had, especially starting out, hoped for more testimonials like this. More expressions of gratitude and sympathy were the key to feeling good about this god-forsaken gig, or so he had thought.
