[ the implications of such a simple phrase: belonging, ownership, something else that not in dostoevsky's experiences. he is a solitary man by necessity, lonely-yes, but not with ambitions for companionship.

in fact, he's been dead set on eliminating dazai and ridding himself of the last person who matches his mind. who could, if circumstances were different, understand.

there's a call to violence in those words; they make fyodor's skin crawl. submission? to dazai? is that what happened? ]


A poor joke to play, Dazai. [ he drops the honorific, just to test the waters. ]
