[Unfortunately for them both, Palamedes' ability to notice he's being watched is terrible outside of an empty room. He usually has someone else around to pay attention to that kind of thing for him, and in her absence— and, like, all this other weird stuff, like real paper and atmosphere— he's been distracted. Unfortunate, then, that he's been followed this long; and unfortunate that his unwilling shadow hasn't been spotted sooner, or they might have saved some time.

He's trying very passionately to make his case to the local healer here that he, also, is a healer! Of a sort! And they are surely not having it, half because of the mention of necromancy and half because he's pulled out what appears to be a copper wire, and is mid-demonstration of how many vitals he can check if he sticks one end into his own hand between thumb and forefinger, and the other end, well, obviously—

But oh; interrupted, and in the few seconds he turns his head to look at this... sickly-looking guy... the healer takes the opportunity to abruptly turn to leave. Palamedes looks back and forth between the two for a moment, stuck-]

Wait, we've resolved nothing— [And slightly louder, to their retreating back:] You come and find me when you're out of hands!

[Then he pushes his glasses up his face to pinch the bridge of his nose and sigh in frustration. He has not taken the copper wire out of his hand. After a beat, he looks at Shinichi properly again.]
